Session FAQs

This page gathers the most common questions about engagement, family, senior, and mini sessions—what’s included, how to get ready, and what you can expect from our time together. If something on your mind isn’t covered here, you’re always welcome to reach out and ask.

How do I book a session with you?

Once you’re ready, you can reach out through my contact form or booking page with your preferred date, location, and session type. I’ll get back to you with availability and next steps to confirm your session.

How far in advance should we book?

I recommend booking at least a few weeks in advance, especially for weekends or busy seasons. If you have a specific date in mind, reach out as early as you can so we can hold it.

Where will our session take place?

We’ll work together to choose a location that fits your vibe—whether that’s a field at golden hour, downtown streets, or a cozy spot that feels like home. I’ll share ideas and suggestions based on the look you’re going for.

What should we wear?

I always recommend soft, neutral tones and pieces you feel comfortable and confident in. Avoid loud logos or very bright neon colors. After you book, I can send over simple styling tips to help you choose outfits that photograph beautifully together.

How long does a session last?

Full sessions typically last around 60 minutes, which gives us time to settle in, move around, and capture a variety of poses and candid moments. Mini sessions are shorter and more focused, usually around 30 minutes.

What happens if the weather is bad?

If the forecast looks truly unfavorable (heavy rain, storms, etc.), we’ll chat the day before or morning of your session and decide together whether to reschedule. Overcast skies and a few clouds are actually beautiful for photos, so we don’t always need to change plans.

How many images will we receive?

For full sessions, you can expect approximately 50-100 hand-edited, high-resolution images. For mini sessions, the gallery is smaller and more focused, usually around 25-50 images. I’ll always choose the very best moments and edit them with care.

How long will it take to get our photos back?

You’ll receive a small sneak peek gallery within about 14 days after your session. Your full gallery is typically delivered within 4-6 weeks, depending on the time of year.

How do we receive our photos?

Your images are delivered in an online gallery where you can view, download, and share them with friends and family. You’ll also receive personal printing rights for all the final images in your gallery.

Do you require a retainer or deposit?

Yes, a non-refundable retainer of 50% is due at the time of booking to reserve your date, with the remaining balance due by 7 days before your session. All details will be outlined clearly in your invoice and confirmation.

What if we feel awkward in front of the camera?

That’s totally normal. My approach is very relaxed and guided—I’ll give you simple prompts, movements, and poses so you never feel stuck or unsure of what to do. I focus on connection, not perfection, so you can just be yourselves.
